These two drifts alone generated a massive £60 BOG benefit per race on a £10 stake for those specific bookmakers. In the 14:20 at Ludlow, Borna Gem was available at massive early odds of 28/1 with CopyBet and several others, but crashed in the market right before the off to win with an SP of 11/1. To answer that, I looked at the 28 races from the 2026 Cheltenham Festival and compared the Opening Price (OP) with the Starting Price (SP) for each winner. Using a £10 stake per race, the results show why it’s so important to use this offer. Over those 28 races, if you had put a £10 win bet on the opening price of every winner, you would have made an extra £278.75 just from Best Odds Guaranteed. 12 Winners Shortened (SP < OP): In 12 races, the winner’s starting price was lower than the opening price. If you took the early price with a BOG bookie, you got the better odds and made a total of £278.75 more than if you had just bet at the SP.

For a start, they don’t offer Best Odds Guaranteed on greyhounds (they just keep it to UK and Irish racing), and the timing cut-off is only 10 AM, which isn’t ideal. That said, the limit that they put on maximum benefits from the offer is an enormous £50,000.

If you place a bet at 2 AM, and those odds go way out by the time you get to the race, 888Sport will give you that starting price. It’s a standout part of their service. They also have no cap on benefits, another excellent feature. No Best Odds Guaranteed on greyhounds and no option to add to multiples stops it from being higher up on this list. Coral's Best Odds Guaranteed is similar to VirginBet – the same £50,000 limit and markets offered. The benefit of Coral, however, is that their BOG is for the entire day, like 888Sport, so they have no cut-off in the morning. So why not put them above VirginBet in the rankings? The reason that it only makes it in at no.9 and no higher is the fact that you can only get the best odds from 11 AM. That said, the cap is limited to £10,000, which is pretty good overall.

Ladbrokes and Coral often gave the best and highest early odds on the winners. Since their early prices were already high, they rarely had to increase them to match the SP. A large BOG payout often means their early odds were poor. The best approach is to grab the highest early odds with a bookie like Coral or Ladbrokes. If the odds get shorter, you gain a lot by locking in that high price. If the odds get longer, the BOG feature protects you by matching the higher SP.
